WoodLINKS was originally visioned in Canada by industry and education leadership in the 1990s.
WoodLINKS USA was established in 2000 by a core group of concerned and involved industry and education representatives, leveraging the Canadian model, and licensing the WoodLINKS efforts begun in Canada as WoodLINKS USA.
